is all about showing your child that church is fun! We do this in safe, relevant and age-appropriate environments at all of our campuses. Our goal is that by the time a weekend opportunity is over, your child knows that Life is Sweeter With Jesus!
Camp Kaleo happens every summer at our Downtown Campus! This is a day camp for kids in Kindergarten to 5th grade. We truly believe that God can and wants to use your kids now! They are the future and we want to partner along with you to empower them to be the best version of them and to help them live a fully surrendered life to Christ all while having the time of their lives!
What to expect at check-in
If it is your first time checking your child into one of our classes there is a designated VIP area to register them. Returning families receive a barcode key tag to use at our volunteer staffed or self check-in areas. At check-in your child will receive a printed nametag with a number that corresponds with a checkout tag for you. Children cannot be checked out without a matching numbered checkout tag.
All of our volunteers have been through a federal background check and are the only people allowed into our classrooms. If we need to contact you during one of our opportunities you will receive a text to come to the check-in area.
Here you can find our current series and parenting tools to help your family grow together in your relationship with Jesus!
Has your child expressed interest in giving their life to Jesus? Great!
We believe this is the biggest decision they will ever make in their lives!
This is a very special moment in a child and parent’s life and a great opportunity to give your life to Jesus or rededicate your life to Christ.
Here are three easy steps we go over with kids when they are ready to GET JESUS:
We admit that God’s way is better than ours and we are in need of rescue which comes through our savior, Jesus.
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that he came to rescue us, died for us and was raised again.
We choose to follow Jesus. God doesn’t expect us to be perfect but we choose to work towards being more like Jesus everyday by following God’s word (the Bible) and spending time with him in worship and prayer.
Once you’ve gone over the ABC’s pray this prayer together:
Dear Jesus, Today I invite you into my heart. Your way is better than mine and I believe you died on the cross for my sin. Help me to live for you and love you all the days of my life. Today I am new, today I am changed, today I am forgiven, and today I am set free. In Jesus’ name, amen!
If your child prayed this prayer, CONGRATULATIONS! Here are some things we encourage you to do next:
- Commit to making church a priority for you and your family.
- Make an investment in your child’s new relationship with Jesus by purchasing an age-appropriate bible for them.
- Spend time as a family reading the Bible, worshiping and praying together.
We believe that every child can have a personal relationship with Jesus. One of the next steps after making the decision to Get Jesus is water baptism. Because we want to make sure your child fully understands the purpose behind water baptism, we do not baptize children under the age of 8. The older a child is, the more they will understand and the more meaningful baptism will be for them. Your child does not have to be baptized in order to be saved.
If your child is over 8 years old and you’ve determined they are ready, you can get them signed up under the Red Tent at any of our locations during a weekend opportunity. One of our team leads will then go over the following questions with them to ensure they are ready to take the next step.
When and where did you give your life to Jesus? (your child should have a general idea of when this happened)
What does baptism mean? (To tell the world about your relationship with Jesus! It demonstrates that the old you has been washed away and the new you has been raised to life!)
Why do you want to get baptized? (Because even though I am not perfect, I am choosing to follow Jesus. He was baptized and wants us to!)
